Summertime. Livin' is easy, and all that ...
I got to thinkin' 'bout summer romances the other day. Somehow, they were the best. Ya meet someone on the beach or on the boardwalk, and it's like lightning in a bottle. Something 'bout the sunshine and those long summer nights just seem to spark up romance.
Now, maybe ya get all hot and heavy, and maybe ya don't. Doesn't really matter. You connect one way or the other. Hey, it's nice.
Sad thing is though, that when it's time to head back to the city or whatever, sometimes those summer romances take a beating. What was suddenly ain't.
Probably no easy way to end a relationship. Every way I can think of leaves one of you hurt, maybe both of you. And every relationship is like a tattoo on your heart — not likely you're going to forget it, no matter how brief it was.
