Hard-boiling an egg takes approximately ten minutes, but it isn’t always as simple as that.

Many factors can alter the time it takes.

For example, in different parts of the world, hard-boiling an egg can take up to forty minutes.

Why?

    Here's another reason it would take longer to hard-boil an egg--variances in the type of fuel used and the method used to boil the water. As a backpacker, I would know this.

    ...shoulda called it the 3 minute mystery?

    that song is great. my fav verse is with semolina pilchard and that elemenary penguin. someday i may write a story to go with that song.

    You're so versatile Kennedy James, like one of those magicians that pull flowers out of their sleeves with one hand while rearranging the contents of your wallet with the other. Amazing. :)

    1. Did you know that Semolina Pilcher was named after Detective Sergeant Norman "Nobby" Pilcher, a famous (infamous?) Scotland Yard detective whose claim to fame was busting all the pot-smoking pop stars in the '60s.

      Just a little back story for your front story ... ;O}
