DeleteIf life is so random, is there really any point to dream and go for it? Or perhaps this just points out the opposite that despite losses, life is a gamble and you mustn't take it all too seriously. Win some, lose some.
ReplyDeleteKenny Rogers sang about playing dealt cards, knowing when to hold or fold. So to an extent we can try and what we choose can make a difference. When dealt a bad final hand, a person may choose to 'bluff or fold' in order to win. If your opponent will always 'pay to see',then your choices are reduced to 'fold' however, if you pay to stay in the game with that opponent, it's down to luck of the deal alone because if you keep being dealt a bad hand you will lose just for continuing to play. Perhaps quitting to win is a survival strategy until you've saved up enough resources to take another gamble (at dreams, at goals, at life - at love).
